The 1500 DS spirit line of Nintendo DS games is a short line, only 9 volumes so far, of simple but classic Japanese table top games that have been re-engineered for Nintendo's hand held console. The are inexpensive, region-free range in subject from Chess to Poker.
Vol. 3 of the DS Spirit line is essentially a poor-man's arkanoid, which you have to admit is difficult to do poorly. Along with the standard normal mode that sees the player control a paddle and must reflect a ball to break blocks to clear levels, there is also a tutorial mode for first timers, mission mode for specific challenges, a "Odama" mode that allows for special brick breaking items and a survival mode that gives you a specific number of balls.
