The 1500 DS spirit line of Nintendo DS games is a short line, only 9 volumes so far, of simple but classic Japanese table top games that have been re-engineered for Nintendo's hand held console. They are inexpensive, region-free and range in subject from Chess to Poker.
Maybe released as a nod to nintendo's origins, Hanafuda, the 5th volume of the DS Spirits line, takes the classic japanese card game and brings it to the nintendo ds. I have to admit right now, I have no idea how this game is played, here is a link to the wiki page, good luck figuring it out.
What I do know it that the game will teach you how to play, which is nice as long as you know enough japanese to understand just what the heck they are talking about. As with most other 1500 DS spirit games their is a challenge mode and multiplayer modes to keep you busy.
