The 1500 DS spirit line of Nintendo DS games is a short line, only 9 volumes so far, of simple but classic Japanese table top games that have been re-engineered for Nintendo's hand held console. They are inexpensive, region-free and range in subject from Chess to Poker.
Vol.7 in the 1500 DS Spirit line is all about classic, European Chess. If you are unfamiliar with the rules of the game then the game will hold your hand in two ways: First with a tutorial mode that teaches you the basics and secondly, with an option to adjust rules, so that you can play with only the rules you feel comfortable with.
The other DS Spirit's modes are included as well, including a multi-player, and challenge mode.
